BPL Broadcasting TV Rights for 2018-19

BPL T20 Cricket Broadcasting Rights

Last year, the telecast rights have also been sold at very good prices which will help to maintain the healthy financial status of the league. Gazi TV will be the official broadcaster in Bangladesh. Apart from that a host of other networks will telecast the matches live across the globe. The list of the remaining broadcasters and their regions is as follows:

Network Region
Gazi TV (GTV) and Maasranga Television Bangladesh
PTV / Geo Super Pakistan
Sony Six and Sony Six HD India
MTV Sports Sri Lanka
Prime TV UK
Setanta Sports Ireland
Flow TV Caribbean Islands
Orbit Showtime Network Middle East

Apart from the above broadcast networks, BCB is also showing the matches on live streams to ensure greater viewing of the league via Rabbithole app. This will help in adding another revenue stream which would be very useful considering the financial issues which have blighted the league earlier. The league will be streamed live via Rabbithole app for both Android and iOS users while it will be interesting to see if social media websites like Facebook and Twitter also live stream the event.

More information on how to watch the sixth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League will be updated later as we get closer to the start of the competition. Rangpur Riders will start the tournament as the defending champions after they beat the Dhaka Dynamites in a one-sided final last season but a lot will now depend on how the sides choose their squads from the BPL Draft.

The Draft will be held in the month of October after each team can retain up to four players from the previous season and add two more from outside the draft. The BPL Draft will allow the teams to select one player every round and reach player will be a part of a price band depending on the past cricketing records.
